Boyle Street Community Services

Boyle Street Community Services is a non-profit agency that supports inner-city Edmontonians affected by homelessness, poverty, addiction and marginalization. Their services range include providing food, clothing, warmth, companionship, mental health housing, employment services, drop-in, cultural and outreach services for all of their community members.

Old Strathcona Youth Society

Old Strathcona Youth Society (OSYS) is an incredible organization that supports high-risk or disadvantaged youth in Edmonton by providing a safe place to gather and commune. The OSYS provides support and harm prevention regarding addiction, and provides important information to youth about drugs, effects, and addicting substances. They also allow street youth to enrol in choice activities that they wouldn’t otherwise have opportunities to do, such as music lessons, art classes, and gym memberships.

Sexual Assault Centre

The University of Alberta Sexual Assault Centre provides a safe place on campus where unconditional support, confidentiality, respect, and advocacy are available for those affected by sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship violence, and stalking. The U of A Sexual Assault Centre strives for a campus community free of sexual violence.

Somali Canadian Women & Children Association

The Somali Canadian Women & Children Association (SCWCA) is non-profit organization, established in 2010 to assist women and children in need. SCWCA supports the needs of Somali families and individuals living in Edmonton through partnerships, services, and programs that are timely, culturally appropriate, and address their concerns. The organization is committed to providing a working environment and culture that places the needs of the families above the needs of organization.
